Software Developers Guild The Software Developers Guild (SDG for short) is an organisation that aims to promote OS/2 by developing freeware and shareware applications. Applications for other platforms is also likely to emerge from SDG, but our primary platform is OS/2. The main focus of SDG's development will be areas where OS/2 lacks applications entirely or where it lacks good usable applications. SDG will not normally develop applications in areas where there already exists good applications, since this would contradict our primary goal of promoting OS/2. We realize that OS/2 is sorely lacking in many applications that the general public finds necessary in order to effectively use their computer. We plan to close some of these gaps with good, solid, easy to use applications which fulfill these needs. Areas which we feel are the weakest, we will work on first, or which we feel we can can fill quickly. Making OS/2 useful to the general public is our primary concern and we wish to fill as many of these gaps as we can quickly. Another area we feel needs addressing are exciting applications, programs that make people see the power OS/2 has to offer. These types of programs, we feel, will make users more at home with the fact that OS/2 is a superior operating system then what they are used to. They will 'feel' the power that OS/2 has to offer.
